AutoMinds LLC ("we", "our", "us") operates the AutoMinds AI email assistant at autominds.org. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

When you connect your Gmail account, we access:

• Email metadata: Sender names, subject lines, dates, and email snippets (previews) — used to provide inbox summaries and answer your questions
• Basic profile info: Your email address and display name — used to identify your account

We also store:

• Chat history: Your conversations with the AI assistant — so you can continue where you left off
• Reminders: Any reminders you set through the assistant
• Session tokens: Encrypted authentication tokens to keep you logged in

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not read or store the full body of your emails
• We do not store email attachments
• We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties
• We do not use your data for advertising or marketing purposes
• We do not train AI models on your personal email data

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the AutoMinds email assistant service:

• Summarize and triage your inbox
• Answer questions about your emails
• Search your emails by keyword or sender
• Draft email replies for you to review and send yourself
• Set and fire reminders

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your Gmail OAuth tokens are stored securely on our server and are only used to access Gmail on your behalf
• Chat history and reminders are stored in an encrypted database
• All communication between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS encryption
• Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity

5. Gmail API Scopes

AutoMinds requests the following Google API permissions:

• gmail.readonly — Read-only access to view your email metadata and snippets
• userinfo.email — Access your email address for account identification
• userinfo.profile — Access your display name for personalization

We do not request permissions to send, modify, or delete your emails.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• You can delete your chat history at any time through the app
• You can disconnect your Gmail and log out at any time
• To request complete account deletion, email admin@autominds.org
• Upon account deletion, all your data (profile, tokens, chat history, reminders) is permanently removed

7. Third-Party Services

• Google Gmail API: Used to access your email data per your authorization
• AI Processing: Your email snippets are processed by our AI model to generate summaries and responses. This processing happens on our own servers — your data is not sent to external AI providers

8. Children's Privacy

AutoMinds is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
